Butterflies-Haven has primarily been created to provide a 'soft place to fall' for all family members who are affected by the experience of all aspects of the Autistic Spectrum.
Of equal importance is our aim to raise awareness of the related challenges.
Butterflies effectively provides on-going support for parents of children and teenagers who are affected by the Autistic Spectrum or any developmental delay, whether diagnosed or not.
It is the norm, that once a diagnosis has been offered, parents then feel bereft of adequate advice, guidance and continuity of support. Equally, when a diagnosis cannot be achieved that same sense of isolation often becomes the norm.
Butterflies is a caring community of families and we are constantly creating fresh ideas that offer support and that open up social opportunities for both the child/teenager and the parents/carers.
